GEAR UP CT SCHOLARSHIP

The GEAR UP Scholarship in Connecticut is a component of the federally funded GEAR UP CT program, which helps low-income students prepare for and succeed in college. To be eligible, students must have been members of the high school graduating Class of 2025 and participants in the specific GEAR UP CT programs in East Hartford, Meriden, or Waterbury.

ELIGIBILITY

Students must have earned a high school diploma in one of those school districts, and be enrolled in an eligible 2 or 4 year college, university or Title IV institution before age 22. You can search for Title IV institutions HERE.

Students must successfully complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The scholarship amount varies annually and is administered by the CT Office of Higher Education.
